LGBTQ+ Therapy
At a time where previously-established rights and freedoms within the LGBTQ+ community are in question, you may be struggling to remain focused and grounded in your identity. Here, you will always receive LGBTQ+ affirming therapy through a trauma-informed and gender-affirming approach unique to the challenges that are currently facing this community.
At Every Love Therapy, you’ll never need to explain yourself, correct assumptions, or defend your identity. You may be coming to therapy carrying the weight of past experiences where care felt neutral at best, or actively harmful at worst. LGBTQ+ affirming therapy understands your identity as valid, real, and worthy of respect. Therapy should not require justification in order to be supportive.
What Affirming Therapy Means Here
Affirming therapy goes beyond tolerance or neutrality. It means working with a therapist who understands how identity, stigma, and lived experience shape mental health, and who demonstrates care through understanding.
LGBTQ+ care at Every Love Therapy:
Accepts your identity as valid and real
Does not debate or minimize lived experience
Understands LGBTQ+ relationships without making assumptions
Recognizes the harm that can be caused from living as a minority in a heteronormative society
Therapy may explore:
Anxiety, depression, or burnout
Identity development or integration
Relationship concerns
Shame related to stigma or invalidation
Trauma or nervous system overwhelm
As an LGBTQ+ client, you are likely seeking therapy for many of the same reasons as anyone else, in addition to the impact of your lived experience in the queer community.
