Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!

While every journey through this life is unique, know that you’re not alone on the path to seeking wellness. You’re the expert of your own life, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate it alone. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength. It’s the first step on a journey toward self-acceptance and personal growth.

Every Love Therapy is an affirming, trauma-informed psychotherapy practice grounded in respect for identity, autonomy, and relational diversity. Care is collaborative, consent-centered, and intentionally non-pathologizing.

This practice exists to offer something different: therapy that does not require explanation, justification, or conformity in order to be supportive.

Here, we honor people whose lives and loves may exist outside dominant cultural narratives. This includes LGBTQ+ individuals, people in ethically non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships, those involved in consensual kink, and neurodivergent adults. This practice is open to anyone seeking affirming, reflective care, regardless of orientation or relationship structure.

About Me

Hi, I’m Leah (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in New Jersey and Virginia.

My approach is warm and nonjudgmental with a specific focus on LGBTQ+ issues. I also address the specialized challenges of the kink and poly communities, as well as areas where all three communities can intersect. My approach combines the power of mindfulness, bodily attunement and cognitive exploration, promoting self-acceptance and making space to process feelings in a safe and empathetic manner. Instead of focusing on a single prescriptive approach, we’ll work together to find the unique combination of tools that best address your specific needs. Through empowerment and support, you will define your own journey on your own terms.

In my free time, I’m an artist and writer. My current writing explores the nature of breaking destructive relationship patterns that often emerge from traumatic childhood experiences. It recounts a journey out of a space of radical independence into one of mindful interdependence not only in romantic love, but also in accepting the support of an extended community of chosen family. Its message is that love may not make you whole, but being whole will create the space for love. That’s the ultimate goal of my work with you as well.

About Dragonflies

Transformation. Light. Clarity: Why the dragonfly is the perfect symbol to represent this practice
At Every
Love Therapy, the dragonfly is more than just a brand. It’s a symbol that deeply reflects the spirit and mission of the practice. But what does that mean exactly?

Transformation and adaptability
Emerging from water as nymphs and taking flight as radiant, agile beings, dragonflies remind us of the powerful potential within each of us to grow, heal, and change. This metamorphosis reflects the journey many clients experience; moving through darkness, uncertainty, or emotional stagnation into greater self-awareness, strength, and peace.

Light and perception
With their multifaceted eyes and shimmering, iridescent wings, dragonflies reflect and refract light in constantly shifting ways. This represents the importance of perspective; how we see ourselves, our past, and our path forward. In therapy, we work together to bring clarity to your internal landscape, helping you explore and reframe old patterns with new understanding.

Deep mindfulness
The dragonfly fully embraces the moment. This presence, a balance of calm and motion, mirrors my therapeutic philosophy. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means learning to be with yourself, here and now, with compassion and curiosity.

At Every Love Therapy, the dragonfly is a symbol of hope, resilience, and the beauty of becoming. It reminds us that transformation is always possible, and that within each of us is the lightness and strength to rise.

The Space Where it Happens

Going to therapy shouldn’t feel like a visiting a doctor’s office or a corporate campus. It should be comfortable, warm, and welcoming.

My office is located in a prime spot in Richmond’s Scott’s Addition neighborhood. The space is neuro-affirming and sensory friendly where the “big light” is banned, there is always a fully stocked fidget bowl, and there are plenty of soothing textures and soft surfaces to make a landing place that helps you feel comfortable as you begin your healing journey.

And bonus… there is plenty of dedicated parking which is rare for this area.
