About Me

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!

While every journey through this life is unique, know that you’re not alone on the path to seeking wellness. You’re the expert on your own life, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate it alone. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength. It’s the first step on a journey toward self-acceptance and personal growth.

Hi, I’m Leah (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in New Jersey and Virginia. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and have dedicated my career to giving back the compassionate care I received over the years from the assistance of my own therapist.

My approach is judgment-free and trauma-informed with a specific focus on LGBTQ+ issues. I also address the specialized challenges of the kink and poly communities, as well as areas where all three communities can intersect. I use a range of methods and approaches that combine mindfulness and cognitive exploration, promoting self-acceptance and making space to process feelings in a safe and empathetic manner. We’ll work together to find the unique combination of tools that best address your specific needs. Through empowerment and support, you will define your own journey on your own terms.

In my free time, I’m an artist and writer. My current writing explores the nature of breaking destructive relationship patterns that often emerge from traumatic childhood experiences. It recounts a journey out of a space of radical independence into one of mindful interdependence not only in romantic love, but also in accepting the support of an extended community of chosen family. Its message is that love may not make you whole, but being whole will create the space for love. That’s the ultimate goal of my work with you as well.
